A city of Toledo management employee charged after a dispute about a parked car and a city recycling truck escalated into a confrontation in the south end in December was convicted of an amended charge and sentenced to pay $79 in court costs.

Sue Frederick, 49, pleaded no contest to failure to aid a law enforcement officer, a minor misdemeanor. The charge was amended from misdemeanor resisting arrest. A misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge was dismissed.

Ms. Frederick, who is now in the department of neighborhoods, allegedly argued with the owner of a legally parked vehicle and threatened to have the vehicle towed during the incident Dec. 28 in the 800 block of Geneva Avenue. After police asked her to stop, she continued and was arrested. At the time of the incident, she was a manager in the department of economic and community development.

The case was resolved during a hearing Monday in Toledo Municipal Court. Ms. Frederick has paid the court costs.
