Spartan Chemical names ad director

Melanie Mance has been promoted to director of advertising for Spartan Chemical Co. Inc., Maumee. She had been assistant advertising manager.

Frederick Tito, of JDI Group Inc., Holland, has been given the President's Award by the Engineers Foundation of Ohio for his volunteer work and other contributions. The trade group also honored the Toledo Chapter of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers for its engineering-week programs.
