Perrysburg firm fined for safety violations
10/18/2007Federal inspectors have fined a Perrysburg firm $15,600 for 10 safety violations found at the company s operations between May 1 and May 18.
Automated Handling and Metalfab, Inc., of 600 W. Boundary St., has until Oct. 26 to contest the fines. Nine of the violations were classified as serious and one was a repeat violation.
Violations included a malfunctioning forklift and unguarded features on a machine used to bend steel. The company sells materials handling equipment and makes cranes used inside industrial plants.
