Development commissioner steps down

2/28/2008

The city of Toledo's commissioner of development resigned yesterday to take a recently created job with the Regional Growth Partnership.

Though Todd Davies said his job at the growth partnership is so new that it lacks a title, he will help build technology-based companies with the $22.5 million capital venture fund, Rocket Ventures.

Mr. Davies, who will start at the growth partnership in mid-March, would not say how much he will be paid. His salary with the city was not available last night.

Mayor Carty Finkbeiner, in a statement yesterday, congratulated Mr. Davies, who joined the city in December, 2006.

"Todd Davies loves the technology field and has an opportunity to work in that field full-time at the Regional Growth Partnership. The city wishes Todd the very best in this important field," Mayor Finkbeiner said.

The city has not announced a replacement for Mr. Davies.
