Springfield Township women arraigned on obstruction

Two Springfield Township women who recently served time in jail for failing to appear as witnesses in a trial returned to Lucas County Common Pleas Court yesterday to be arraigned on obstruction charges.

Katie Pezan, 18, of 616 Highland Creek Ct. and Mikaela Buck, 18, of 6741 Lincoln Green St. pleaded not guilty to one count each of obstructing justice. If convicted, they each face up to five years in prison.

Judge Linda Jennings ordered supervised recognizance bonds and set an April 7 trial date.

The women are accused of hindering the investigation of a shooting that occurred Aug. 16 in Sleepy Hollow Park near Dorr Street and Richards Road.

Monta Price, 18, and Ira Brown, 19, both of Toledo, each entered pleas and were found guilty for their roles in the shooting and attempted robbery of Rick Burk.
