A Toledo man was sentenced yesterday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to four years in prison for felonious assault.

Jeremiah Reid, 20, of 324 Elm St., was convicted last month of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend. Reid pleaded no contest to one count of felonious assault and was found guilty by Judge Frederick McDonald.

An additional felonious assault charge and a burglary charge were dropped yesterday.

Reid got into an argument with his girlfriend, Treeva Lampkin of 2908 Chestnut St., about 12:20 a.m. Dec. 18, forced his way into her home, hit her with a heavy glass ashtray, chased her into the bathroom, and pushed her under running water in the bathtub, prosecutors said.

Ms. Lampkin fled to a neighbor's home and called police.
