Bond set for 2 accused of stealing charity can

MONROE A man and woman accused of stealing a charity donation can from a convenience store appeared before a judge yesterday on felony charges.

Amanda L. Burnham, 20, of Woodhaven, Mich., and Jeremy Michael Moore, 21 of Monroe face charges of larceny from a building.

The donation can was displayed at Kenny s Market on Telegraph Road to raise money for a young boy suffering from a lung disease.

Bond was set at $5,000 for Miss Burnham and $50,000 for Mr. Moore, who is on probation. Both suspects were being held in the Monroe County jail pending a pretrial hearing May 19.
