State trooper suspended after search of his Monroe home

MONROE Authorities have searched the home of a Michigan State Police trooper who is assigned to the multi-jurisdictional Monroe Narcotics Investigations office.

Michigan State Police are conducting an internal investigation into allegations of misconduct against Lieutenant Luke Davis, a member of the MSP Criminal Investigation Division.

Lieutenant Davis, of Monroe, has been a member of the drug enforcement unit for at least 10 years. The investigations squad includes members of the state police, Monroe police, and the Monroe County Sheriff s Office.

A press release issued by state police said the trooper was suspended with pay after the search of his home was conducted, and that any findings will be sent to Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox for review.
