TREATING THE FLAG WITH RESPECT

Representatives of the Ohio Military Reserve, the Lou Diamond Detachment #272 of the Marine Corps League, and Boy Scout Troop 87 at St. Joseph church in Sylvania, participated in the ceremony. Summary: The faded, torn and otherwise unserviceable American flags collected during the eighth annual "Operation Respect" will be formally retired and incinerated on Pearl Harbor Rememberance Day. (The flags were collected by The Andersons stores to honor Veterans Day on Nov. 11).
