Light the Night event slated for Tuesday
12/15/2008The newly formed Inner City Development Coalition will hold a Light the Night Celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The event will be at Pickett Academy, 1144 Blum St. Its purpose is to recognize efforts for improved lighting in the neighborhood that surrounds the academy.
Speakers, music, crafts, and refreshments will be provided. Guests will include city leaders and other area politicians, as well as representatives from Pickett and the University of Toledo.
The goal of the Light the Night project is to improve lighting between Brown Avenue and Hawley Street and Klondike Street to Dorr Street.
