In observance of the Christmas holiday, the city offices of Toledo will be closed Dec. 24, 25, and 26. Maumee, Oregon, Northwood, Perrysburg, Rossford, and Sylvania city offices will be closed Dec. 24 and 25. Ottawa Hills city offices will close from noon Dec. 24 through Dec. 25.
Lucas County offices will close Dec. 24 and 25. Auto title offices will be closed from noon Dec. 24 through Dec. 25.
State offices will be closed Dec. 25 only. The federal courthouse in Toledo will be closed Dec. 24 and 25.
A list of select services follows:
All banks, financial institutions, and banking centers and bank marts will be closed Dec. 25. Most banks will close by 2 p.m. Dec. 24, Christmas Eve. Huntington National Bank will close at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 24, and State Bank and Trust in Perrysburg will close at noon Dec. 24.
Malls and shopping centers will close at 5 or 6 p.m. Dec. 24 and all of Dec. 25. Individual stores may have separate hours. The movie theaters in the malls may remain open.
Columbia Gas phone center will be open until 12:15 p.m. Dec. 24 and then will be closed through Dec. 25, except for emergencies.
Toledo Edison customer service will be closed Dec. 24 and 25. Only emergency calls will be taken.
The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and branches will be closed Dec. 24 and 25.
Most Toledo post offices will close at noon on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve. There will no window services and the last mail collection will be at noon. The Oregon branch will be open regular hours on Dec. 24.
There will be no mail delivery or collection Dec. 25, and no window services at the Main Post Office or any classified station or branch.
Express Mail Service will be available Christmas Day, but the Bulk Mail Acceptance Unit will be closed.
Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a holiday schedule on Dec. 25.
Meter parking in downtown Toledo will be free on Dec. 25.
In Toledo and outlying areas, there will be no trash collection or recycling on Dec. 25; regular collection will be delayed a day after Thursday.
