Area under wind chill advisories and warnings

Several counties in northwest Ohio are under wind chill advisory and southwest Michigan are under a wind chill warning Friday afternoon, where in most places it feels like minus-25 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland.

The wind chill advisory is in effect until Saturday morning for Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky, Hancock, Seneca, and Erie counties. Lenawee and Monroe counties in Michigan are under a wind chill warning until Saturday moring.

It is 5 degrees at the Toledo Express Airport with a wind chill as low as minus-16.

The lowest temperature posted at the airport this morning was minus-14, which was two degrees warmer of the record minus-17 recorded in 1972.

Wind chills will likely remain at around minus 10 degrees through Friday night, the weather service said.
