A veteran Toledo police officer was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court Wednesday after being accused of inappropriately touching at least four women when stopping them for offenses, authorities said.

Officer Christopher McQueen, 42, who was appointed to the department in December, 1993, was charged with five counts of sexual imposition in January. He was released on his own recognizance and another hearing was scheduled for Feb. 25.

Mr. McQueen declined to comment after the hearing.

The allegations stem from five incidents from June to August last year involving four women, who told investigators they were fondled by Mr. McQueen before being arrested or cited.

Mr. McQueen voluntarily took himself off the department s payroll in September when he was questioned by internal affairs investigators.
