United Way of Greater Toledo is looking for volunteers to help with the free tax preparation service it offers working families in Lucas County.
No experience is needed, because United Way provides training that will allow volunteers to be IRS-certified, agency officials said.
United Way collaborates with Lucas County annually to offer the service. One goal is to help low to middle-income working families who have lost jobs or homes claim the federal earned income tax credit.
Those interested may call United Way s 211 help line or go to unitedwaytoledo.org/volunteer.
