Urban League sets up prom dress giveaway
3/23/2009The Greater Toledo Urban League s Young Professionals are working to help make high school proms a lasting memory for area girls.
The organization is accepting dress donations and has partnered with area salons for the complete prom night package.
Formal dresses from prom, weddings, and other events are being accepted at the league office, 701 Jefferson Ave., and at Nevaeh Salon and Spa, 4903 Dorr St.
The dress drive began this week and will continue through April 15.
The dress giveaways will be April 19 and 20 and again April 26 and 27.
Nevaeh Salon and Bellissimo Hair Sensation, 5151 Monroe St., are donating hairstyle services for the students.
