BOWLING GREEN A Perrysburg Township man was indicted by a Wood County grand jury on two charges stemming from the April 19 murder of his on-an-off girlfriend.

Daniel Prater. 49, of 25574 Broad St., was indicted Thursday for murder, a special felony, and tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony. He is charged with killing Henrietta Foster, 57, at her home in the Perrysburg Heights neighborhood.

An autopsy showed Ms. Foster died from "asphyxia due to compression of the neck." She also suffered blunt-force trauma to her head, neck, and torso.

Prater, who was being held in the Wood County jail, was to be arraigned later Thursday before Wood County Common Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey.
