Toledo trash collection shifting 1 day

Refuse collection in Toledo makes another shift forward next week because of Memorial Day.

City officials yesterday encouraged residents to visit the City of Toledo's Web site, www.toledo.oh.gov, to find information and calendars detailing when their trash and recycling will be picked up. At the Web site, residents can enter an address and find out a scheduled refuse collection day.

Since January, collection days leap forward one business day after each city holiday, and there is no weekend holiday collection. Officials said residents are not to place trash or recycling out before 7 p.m. on the day before pickup.
