LAKESIDE, Ohio - Firefighters from four departments responded Monday to a fire that damaged PJ's Pancake House on State Rt. 163, fire officials said.

The restaurant at 5659 East Harbor Rd. was closed and empty at the time of the blaze, which was reported about 10 a.m.

The fire started in the attic and was mostly confined to that area, the Marblehead Fire Department said.

The restaurant sustained some smoke and water damage, but the building was not a total loss.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

The Lakeside, Catawba Island Township, and the Port Clinton fire departments also responded.
