Parks commissioners accept bids for restrooms at Cedar Creeks

BOWLING GREEN Wood County Park District commissioners had no problem accepting lower-than-expected construction bids for restrooms at Cedar Creeks Preserve.

Park commissioners this week approved $66,231 in bids $44,720 from Ken Walter s Masonry & General Contracting of Helena, Ohio, $9,773 from Laibe Electric of Toledo, and $11,738 from Gearhart Plumbing & Heating of Bowling Green. Park District Director Neil Munger said the architect had estimated the project at $103,500.

The restrooms, which are to be completed by fall, are being paid for with proceeds from the park district s 10-year, 1-mill operating levy.

A playground also is under construction at Cedar Creeks Preserve, which is on Walbridge Road just north of State Rt. 51 in Lake Township.
