Toledo police probe pharmacy break-ins

8/22/2009

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a string of pharmacy burglaries at two West Toledo locations in which narcotics were stolen.

The Pharmacy Counter, 2655 West Central Ave., was burglarized Oct. 13, July 16, and Aug. 9, and the Toledo Clinic, 4235 West Central, was burglarized Nov. 23 and April 19. Police say the same person may be responsible.

The Toledo Clinic was the site of a smash-and-grab Monday when a man in a ski mask rammed a stolen car into the clinic and drove down the hallway to the pharmacy desk.

The incident happened shortly after 3 a.m. Security cameras recorded the man as he drove through the front entrance and down the hallway to the pharmacy desk, where narcotics were stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Toledo Crime Stopper Program.
