Woman gets at least 31 years for murder

MONROE A Monroe woman will serve at least 30 years in prison for the stabbing death of a 78-year-old man in 2005.

Dawn Duvall, 30, was sentenced Friday by Monroe County Circuit Judge Michael LaBeau to 31 years to 46 years in prison for second-degree murder. Duvall, who was given credit for nearly one year she spent in jail, pleaded no contest last month to the murder of William Gilbreath who was stabbed and slashed 76 times.
