Six people were in area hospitals yesterday after being injured in a two-car crash late Saturday in western Lucas County, at least two of them seriously, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Darrius Wilson, a passenger in the car driven by Richard Dobson of Lansing, Mich., was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in serious condition.

There was no information about his condition last night, a hospital spokesman said.

Vernon Grey, another passenger in Mr. Dobson's car, was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, in critical condition, troopers at the patrol's Toledo post said.

A hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.

The crash occurred about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on State Rt. 2 at I-80 in Monclova Township.

The Dobson car was westbound on Route 2 when it failed to stop for a traffic light and struck a car driven by Kara Aultman of Delta, who was trying to turn from eastbound Route 2 left onto the I-80 onramp, troopers said.

Ms. Aultman, Mr. Dobson, and his other passengers, Kayla Haynes and Rebekah Dobson, were taken to other area hospitals.

Their injuries were not life-threatening, troopers said.

The crash remained under investigation yesterday.
