Death of man near Marblehead being investigated as homicide
9/15/2009MARBLEHEAD - A 40-year Danbury Township man was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday in Ottawa County's Danbury Township and the death is being investigated as a homicide, township police said.
Edward Johnson, Jr., of the Island View Manor apartment complex, was pronounced dead at a Life Flight landing zone at the nearby Mazurik Access Wildlife Area shortly after the 1:34 a.m. incident, police said.
Mr. Johnson was struck on Lake Pine Drive at the apartment complex by a red Chevrolet Cavalier with Indiana license plates and a broken rear passenger side window. Several people witnessed the incident, officers said.
