City suspends Frederick from job

Sue Frederick, a city official who is accused of taking a campaign sign from a yard, has been suspended with pay pending the conclusion of an investigation, city leaders said Tuesday.

Laid-off Toledo police officer Aaron Riter said he spotted Ms. Frederick dressed all in black about 11:30 p.m. Thursday stealing a pro-Issue 1 yard sign from his yard.

Ms. Frederick is commissioner of Toledo's Division of Streets, Bridges, and Harbor.
