Andersons to close Lima general store
9/16/2009The Andersons Inc. will permanently close its general store in Lima in November.
It is one of seven stores operated by the Maumee firm in metro Toledo, Columbus, and Lima. Other stores are unaffected.
Company officials advised the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services of the move in a notice received this week. About 134 employees will be affected by the closing, according to the notice.
The lights will go out for good at the store in the American Mall at 3000 West Elm St. sometime between Nov. 12 and Nov. 24, state officials were advised.
