Authorities have released the name of a Perrysburg man hurt when a motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle collided early Tuesday, closing State Rt. 795 and Oregon Road at their Perrysburg Township intersection for more than an hour.
Carl Coble, Jr., 52, was flown to the University of Toledo Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol. A hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.
Mr. Coble was northbound on Oregon about 6:30 a.m. when his motorcycle struck the driver side of an SUV driven by John Burkhart, 42, of Bowling Green, who was making a left turn from the Huntington Bank parking lot onto southbound Oregon just north of Route 795, troopers at the patrol's Bowling Green post said.
Mr. Burkhart, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, troopers said. He was listed in fair condition, according to a hospital spokesman.
The crash remained under investigation by the patrol. There was no word on citations as of about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.
