U of Findlay looking for president

10/6/2009

FINDLAY - The University of Findlay has initiated a search to replace outgoing president DeBow Freed, who has led the university since 2003.

The plan calls for identifying candidates this fall, interviewing early next year, and making an appointment in the spring. University leaders would like to have a new president in place by fall 2010 when Mr. Freed's tenure ends, said C. Richard Beckett, chairman of the university's board of trustees.

Mr. Freed became president in 2003.
