Perrysburg Township police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman early yesterday on Oregon Road near the Chrysler Group LLC Toledo Machining Plant.

The victim told police she was driving south on Oregon at1:48 a.m. and saw a pickup parked along the road in the rain just south of State Rt. 795 with a child next to it. She stopped her vehicle and got out to see if the child needed help and was jumped from behind by a man who forced her to the ground and assaulted her, Detective Sgt. Mark Hetrick said.

The woman escaped and went to the Circle K gas station at Oregon and Route 795, where she called police. She was treated at St. Luke's Hospital.

She described her attacker as a Hispanic or light-skinned black man in his late 20s or early 30s. His pickup was a full-size black or dark blue GMC model with a silver toolbox in the bed.

The attacker wore a Pittsburgh Steelers cap and had a tattoo on the back of his left hand of a sword or knife with a snake or dragon wrapped around it. Above the tattoo, by the wrist, were the initials USAR. Anyone with information is asked to call township police at 419-874-3551.
