Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a man who robbed and threatened to stab a North Toledo woman before dawn Monday.
Police said that the woman was trying to get into her vehicle about 6:40 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Superior Street, when a man walked up and told her to drop her purse. She refused, and the man pulled out a silver-colored poker rod and said he would stab her.
The man got away with the woman's purse, including personal papers and an undisclosed amount of cash - but not before she chased him. She returned to her house and called 911.
Police said the man was black and wore dark clothing. He was slim and was 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches tall. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program.
