TIFFIN — The Seneca County commissioners yesterday approved two resolutions in support of funding opportunities for the renovation of the 1884 courthouse.
The commissioners agreed3-0 to sign resolutions in support of a $400,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Development and for a request for funding from the federal Save America's Treasures program.
The board last year endorsed the Seneca County Courthouse and Downtown Redevelopment Group's nearly $8 million plan to restore the historic courthouse. Much of the plan hinges on the ability to attract public and private money for the project.
