Five men suffered pellet wounds when someone fired a shotgun at them from a passing car outside a house in the 700 block of Fernwood Avenue in central Toledo, police said.

Jeremy Williams of Prospect Avenue; Warren William of Belmont Avenue; Deonte Chatman, also of Prospect; Eric Boatman of Norwood Avenue, and Christopher Nelson of Lincoln Avenue were treated at either Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center or Toledo Hospital.

About 10:05 p.m. Monday, someone shouted at the victims from a white Buick that drove by. A short time later, the car reappeared and stopped at Wells Street and Fernwood, where one of its occupants opened fire at the group, officers said. The shooting was gang-related, police said.
