Deconstruction zone

Andy and Sharon Nelson of Perrysburg, volunteers with Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity, work to salvage a door in the old United Way building in downtown Toledo. Habitat is ‘deconstructing' the agency's former headquarters at One Stranahan Square ahead of its demolition. Deconstruction reduces the cost of demolition and involves salvaging windows, doors, light fixtures, metal hardware, furniture, and whatever else can be reused. Reusable items will be sold at the Habitat ReStore, 223 South Fearing Blvd. Andy and Sharon Nelson of Perrysburg, volunteers with Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity, work to salvage a door in the old United Way building in downtown Toledo.
