WEST UNITY, Ohio - Two motorists were killed yesterday in a head-on collision on U.S. 127 near County Road J in Williams County's Brady Township, about 2 miles south of West Unity.

Troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol's Defiance post said a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Norris Brillhart, 80, of West Unity, was driving south on U.S. 127 when a northbound 2009 Dodge van driven by Beth Elegeer, 61, of Bryan, went left of center and struck Mr. Brillhart's truck.

Both drivers were pronounced dead by Dr. Kevin Park, Williams County coroner. The accident was reported at

1:03 p.m.

Margaret Brillhart, 79, a passenger in her husband's truck, was injured. She was flown to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, where no information was available about her condition.

Troopers said all three victims were wearing seat belts, and Mr. Brillhart and Mrs. Elegeer were trapped inside and had to be extricated by rescuers.
