Toledo man indicted in Route 66 shootout

A man sought for his alleged involvement in the shootout at the Route 66 Bar and Grill was indicted Thursday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Marquese Robbins, 31, of Toledo was charged with four counts of felonious assault with a gun specification. If convicted, he faces up to 35 years in prison.

Robbins was initially charged one week after the Oct. 8 incident. He is accused of firing several shots inside the Westwood Avenue bar— an incident that was recorded on videotape and broadcast on CNN and other national networks.

Police have searched for him since a warrant was issued Oct. 16. According to Toledo Municipal Court records, he was arrested June 5 and appeared in court. He since has posted a $25,000 bond.
