FINDLAY — The executive director of the Hancock County chapter of the American Red Cross has been appointed to the advance public affairs team of the American Red Cross Disaster Public Affairs Unit.

Todd James, who worked in radio for 20 years, will be part of the team responsible for the official disaster response communications during large-scale disaster operations.

He must first complete training at the Advanced Public Affairs Team Training Conference in Tampa, Fla. in March.

“I'm excited to use my skills and experience as part of the Red Cross response to major disasters,” Mr. James said in a news release. “Communicating the Red Cross message to those affected by disaster is vital.”
