A Toledo man has been charged with aggravated robbery after confronting a 17-year-old South Toledo man as he was getting into his car.

Joshua McGhee, 23, of 636 Ogden Ave., is being held in the Lucas County jail.

According to Toledo police reports, Henry Wynne, Jr., had gone outside to warm up a sport utility vehicle parked in the driveway of his home in the 600 block of Geneva Avenue about 11:50 p.m. Monday when two persons approached him. One of the suspects, who had a black handgun, swung at him. Mr. Wynne told police he kicked the robber, got into the vehicle, backed into a yard and then pulled forward, striking a utility pole.

Police responding to the scene said they later found Mr. McGhee and a weapon on the porch of 636 Ogden Ave.
