Driver killed in 1-car crash by Florida, Ohio

FLORIDA, Ohio — One person was killed in a one-vehicle accident Monday near Florida, Ohio, the Henry County Sheriff's Office said.

The driver, Jessica Markley, 40, of Florida, died in the crash that occurred at 7:47 a.m. on County Road 17C, just north of the village, according to a report by the sheriff's office.

Investigators said that Ms. Markley's car was southbound on 17C and went off the road into a ditch. The car rolled over several times and came to rest on its wheels.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, according to the report.

The cause of the crash was not known.

Florida is about eight miles southwest of Napoleon and about 50 miles southwest of Toledo.
