FREMONT — Bond was set at $100,000 Thursday for three Fremont men charged with throwing a Molotov cocktail at a Hayes Avenue home.

Alexander Alcala, 18; Nicholas Dahms, 18, and Mitchell Liebold, 21, each were charged with one count of aggravated arson stemming from an incident Tuesday night in the 700 block of Hayes Avenue. Residents told police they heard an explosion and saw a small fire about 11:30 p.m. They extinguished the fire by covering it with a blanket, and no one was injured, police said.

The three suspects, arrested late Wednesday night, had an initial appearance Thursday in Fremont Municipal Court, where Judge Michael Burkett scheduled a preliminary hearing for Feb. 4. They are being held in the Sandusky County jail.
