CARLETON, Mich. — Michigan State Police early Friday released the name of an Ash Township man whose death overnight is being investigated as an apparent homicide, authorities said
Randy Pittman, 51, was found deceased at his residence when family members went there to check on him after failing to reach him on the phone throughout the day Thursday, according to Michigan State Police.
Upon their rival at the residence, police investigators from the Monroe post discovered signs of trauma on the body, got a search warrant for the residence, and executed it. They then announced that they were investigating the death as a homicide, police said.
This is a developing story. Details will be published as they become available.
