SANDUSKY — A 72-year-old Sandusky man died Thursday after his car and an oncoming vehicle collided.

Marvin F. Hill was northbound on Sycamore Line and Cleveland Road in Sandusky about 1:40 p.m. when he went left of center and sideswiped a southbound car driven by Carolyn S. Rainger, 68, of Huron, Ohio, the Ohio Highway Patrol said. His car left the road and hit a utility pole, a tree, a fence, and a house.

He was taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, troopers said. Ms. Rainger wasn’t hurt.

The crash remained under investigation last night.
