Installation of engineering sensors required lane closings Wednesday and again Friday on the Anthony Wayne Bridge, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced.

From 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Friday, westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane across the span, also known as the High Level Bridge.

The sensors will help ODOT engineers determine how much work needs to be done on the bridge during a deck-replacement project scheduled several years from now, agency spokesman Theresa Pollick said.

In North Toledo, the ongoing Matzinger Road reconstruction project is affecting a new portion of the street between Stickney Avenue and Enterprise Boulevard.

Currently, eastbound Matzinger is closed at Stickney, with traffic detoured via Stickney, Benore Road, and Enterprise.

One-way, westbound traffic will be maintained through the work area.
