Employees were evacuated Thursday afternoon after a fire broke out at the North Toledo OmniSource Corp. facility. No injuries have been reported.
Employees were being evacuated Thursday afternoon from the OmniSource Corp. in North Toledo after a fire broke out there at 2:30 p.m.
No injuries have been reported but smoke is billowing from the facility. The fire began when workers were recycling cars on the site.
A Toledo firefighter was taken from the scene to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for heat-related issues.
OmniSource processes and distributes scrap and secondary metals.
