LUCKEY — A woman who was struck and killed by a CSX Transportation train late Wednesday night in Wood County has been identified.

Jane L. Webb, 54, was struck and killed on the tracks between State Rt. 582 and Devil’s Hole Road east of Luckey.

The Lucas County coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy. Dr. Douglas Hess, the Wood County coroner, could not be reached Thursday night.

The incident was reported by a 911 caller about 8:45 p.m.

A CSX spokesman said the 35-car train, which was carrying autos from Detroit to Philadelphia, resumed its journey after midnight.

The incident is under investigation.
