Sewer project to close Fearing Blvd. at Hill Ave.
7/2/2011Fearing Boulevard will be closed for about 12 hours Saturday south of Hill Avenue, and then for about 120 days north of Hill, for a sewer project, the city transportation division announced.
The closing between Hill and Airline Avenue will start at 6 a.m. and end about 6 p.m.
A detour will direct traffic west on either Airport Highway or Nebraska Avenue to Byrne Road. Hawley Street between Western Avenue and Nebraska is another option for motorists closer to Hawley.
The closing between Hill and Brown Avenue will affect only the northbound lanes of Fearing, which is part of U.S. 24 and links North Detroit and South Detroit avenues. Northbound motorists will be detoured via Hill, Westwood Avenue, and Nebraska back to North Detroit.
