About 2,000 Toledo Edison customers remained without power Saturday morning from the powerful thunderstorms that hit the area Friday afternoon.

Utility spokesman Debbie Paul said crews are working continuously to fix the problems, but the utility doesn't have an estimated time for electricity to be restored.

Ms. Paul said many of the customers without power are western Lucas County in what Toledo Edison calls its Holland Service Center Area, though outages are spread all over and include customers in Toledo and Maumee.

As many as 20,000 were without power after Friday's storms. High winds, heavy rain, and significant lightning all contributed to the outages.
