Open house at dog pound is Saturday

County officials will show off the renovated areas of the Lucas County dog pound Saturday while offering free veterinary examinations for any dogs adopted that day.

The newly renovated areas include the adoption area, surgical suite, and outdoor green space.

The public is welcome at the facility, 410 South Erie St., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dogs will be available all day for adoption and door prizes will be given away.
