TAAC: Williams paces TC over Danbury

Toledo Christian 35, Danbury 16

Tevin Williams scored on rushes of 13 yards and seven yards and hauled in a 38-yard touchdown pass from Josh Winzler to lead the Eagles (2-4, 1-2) over the Lakers (3-3, 1-2). last night in a Toledo Area Athletic Conference contest at Perrysburg.

TC's Brett Freeman hit three field goals of 41, 33, and 29 yards.

Brian Walton rounded out the Eagles' scoring with a one-yard TD run.

Gibsonburg 12, Cardinal Stritch 0

GIBSONBURG -- Jeremiah Brauer scored on a 23-yard run in the first quarter and Derek Angelone took in a 36-yard pass from Matt Tille got a second-quarter touchdown for Gibsonburg (2-4, 1-2). Zack Denomy rushed 11 times for 40 yards and caught four passes for 26 yards for Stritch (1-5, 1-2).

Edon 54, Ottawa Hills 0

EDON -- The Bombers had four players rush for touchdowns and as a team racked up 468 yards on the ground in a rout of Ottawa Hills.

Shannon Geren led Edon (3-3, 2-1 TAAC) with 257 rushing yards and two touchdowns (1, 3 yards).

David Ackley also had two rushing scores (10, 35 yards) as did Kaden Sapp (73, 15 yards).

Keegan Long scored on a four-yard run and added a 21-yard touchdown pass to Brock Thiel.

Ottawa Hills falls to 4-2. 2-1.
