Search continues for missing Hancock County woman

FINDLAY — A search continued Thursday for a Hancock County woman who was not found when her car was pulled from a water-filled ditch the day before, authorities said.

Missing was Kristie Brown, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office. Her age was not released.

Sheriff deputies responding to a call on a vehicle submerged in the water arrived about 7:30 a.m. and found a car submerged in a ditch off County Road 139 near State Rt. 613 in Hancock County’s Portage Township. Authorities believe she was driving the car when it went off the road and into the ditch, sheriff deputies said.
