Toledo, state, and federal offices will be closed Monday in observance of New Year's Day, as will city offices in Sylvania, Perrysburg, and Maumee. City offices in Oregon will be closed Friday and Monday.
All Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle deputy registrar locations will be closed Monday, but they may be closed or offer limited services other days as well, so it's best to call ahead.
A list of select businesses and services follows:
Toledo's Department of Public Utilities will be closed Monday, as will Toledo Edison and its parent company, FirstEnergy, and Columbia Gas; emergency services will be available for Toledo Edison and Columbia Gas customers.
Westfield Franklin Park mall, Fallen Timbers, and Levis Commons will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Westfield Franklin Park will be open Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Levis Common will be open from noon to 5 p.m., and Fallen Timbers will be open from noon to 6 p.m.
Refuse collection will be delayed one day for Toledo residents, with trash pickup Jan. 7; collection in other communities will vary.
The main Toledo-Lucas County Public Library downtown and all branches will close at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and be closed all day Sunday and Monday.
Post offices will be closed Monday; mail will not be delivered.
Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a normal Saturday schedule Dec. 31; Buses will operate on a holiday schedule Sunday and Monday.
