  • Participants in an anti-abortion march gather for prayers at the memorial to the unborn in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Maumee. Sunday afternoon’s service was one of the local events associated with activities across the country to mark the 39th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Roe vs. Wade on Jan. 22, 1973, that women have the right to abortion.

Members of the Knights of Columbus Lead a procession from St. Joseph Catholic Church on Broadway Street to its cemetery during the group’s fifth annual prayer service and march for life.

Marchers placed flowers at the headstone of the cemetery’s tomb of the unborn and prayed the Rosary.
